I recently joined the Urban Veterinary Associates team and have really enjoyed meeting many of our amazing clients and their pets already! It’s been such a warm welcome, and I’m excited to continue building connections within this wonderful community.
Can you tell us about your background and education?
My parents moved to the United States from Poland when I was just seven months old, and I grew up on the north side of Chicago and later in Palos Hills. I attended Stagg High School, then completed my undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago from 2011 to 2015, followed by veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019. Go Badgers!
Where have you practiced veterinary medicine?
After graduation, I worked at several small animal clinics, including Pulaski Animal Hospital in Chicago, Banfield Pet Hospital, and VCA Worth Animal Hospital. Each experience taught me something new and helped me strengthen my communication and medical skills.
What brought you to this area?
My husband and I recently moved nearby and bought a home not far from Westmont. We’ve really enjoyed settling into the area, and I’m so happy to now serve this wonderful community through my work at Urban Veterinary Associates.
What are your favorite parts of being a veterinarian?
I love collaborating with pet owners and helping them understand their pet’s health so we can work together as a team. Education and communication are huge for me—it’s not just about giving instructions, but about helping clients truly learn how to support their pets. And I admit, I have a special place in my heart for feisty little dogs like my own!
Anything else you’d like to share?
I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Urban Veterinary Associates team and to serve the Polish community here as well. I’m looking forward to meeting even more of our amazing clients and their pets!
